Divex Celebrates Export Award
International diving equipment technology company Divex is today celebrating a double business success firstly in the Western Australian Industry and Export Awards for outstanding export achievement in the Asia Pacific region and secondly an impressive milestone of manufacturing their 100th Divers Environmental Conditioning System known as the Divex ECS. Divex’s global headquarters are based in Westhill, Aberdeen – now recognised as the global centre of excellence for subsea technology.
Divex has won the top award in the WAIE Manufacturer Export category for outstanding export achievement. The award recognises the company’s export success in the region and the judges acknowledged that “Divex is a reliable source for the highest quality, safest and most up-to-date underwater technology in the military and commercial sectors. With recent export contracts to supply deep saturation diving systems and re-breather technology, Divex has established itself as a successful exporter in the Asia Pacific region..”
The Western Australian Industry and Export Awards are the state’s most prestigious business awards, acknowledging innovation, hard work and the success of businesses large and small, in reaching new markets. The award also acknowledges the important contribution that businesses operating in the region make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community.
Divex’s Perth operation was established in 2003 to further enhance the support in the region. It continues to sell and support the ever-increasing range of Divex defence and commercial products. Focusing on customer service and efficiency, and using its technical expertise and know how, it is continuing to uphold the Divex reputation of being a world leader in its field. This is the second year in succession the company has won an award at the Western Australian Industry and Export Awards, winning the Emerging Exporter category in 2006. Due to increased demand Divex will be moving to a second facility in Perth during the first quarter of 2008 to provide it with an additional manufacturing resources.
At the same time, Divex is celebrating building their 100th ECS (Environmental Control System). The ECS range of products are used to control the temperature and humidity inside saturation diving chambers, provide domestic water into the chambers and also to provide a constant supply of hot water to the divers suit.
The ECS build includes a CMU (Control Master Unit), a CEC (Chamber Environmental Controller), a PWS (Potable Water System) and a WHE (Water Heater Electrical).
Divex has operations in the UK, Germany, the Middle East, South Africa and Australia.
